EVM Faults Delay Polling In Over 80 Booths In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Polling in over 80 booths in six Lok Sabha constituencies of Odisha was delayed during the fourth phase of polls on Monday because of faults in the electronic voting machines (EVMs).

The delay was noticed in 23 booths in Jagatsinghpur, six in Balasore, 22 in Bhadrak, 10 in Kendrapara, seven in Jajpur and 15 in Mayurbhanj. Mentioned below are the booths where polling was delayed:

Jagatsinghpur
Jagasinghpur (135), Bakharabad in Balikuda-Erasama (138), Kakatpur (219 and 268), Nimapara (42 and 66), Paradeep (214), Niali (9). Besides, polling was also delayed in 15 booths in Kujang block.

Balasore
Ulumara Panchayat, Jaleswar (5), Natakata Panchayat (203), Jaleswar (32), Bhogarai (35), Baliapal (99 and 143).

Bhadrak
Bhadrak (185), Bhandaripokhari (71,183, 198, 220), Dhamnagar (222,244,245, 54), Soro (2, 46, 208), Simulia (119, 109, 110), Basudevpur (50, 69, 114, 116), Chandbali (216, 14 and 239)

Kendrapara
Kendrapara (139, 140, 141), Rajnagar (226, 28), Aul (226, 268), Mahanga (213), Salepur (53, 42).

Jajpur
