Extortion Case: Jacqueline Fernandez Being Questioned By ED For Third Time
New Delhi: Jacqueline Fernandez is being questioned again by Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials here on Wednesday in connection with the Rs 200-crore extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
The Sri Lanka-born actress, who features regularly in Bollywood films, had been questioned twice earlier after initially skipping ED’s summons.
Three days ago, Jacqueline was stopped at the Mumbai airport and denied permission to fly out of the country by immigration authorities. They were reportedly acting on a lookout circular issued by ED.
Sukesh is well known to Jacqueline, and had gifted her a horse worth Rs 52 lakh and Persian cat worth Rs 9 lakh.
ED has filed a 7,000-page chargesheet against Sukesh, his wife actor Leena Maria Paul and six others in the Rs 200 crore money-laundering case. Sukesh is currently in custody.
