Goods Train Derailment In Odisha: ECoR Issues Emergency Helpline Numbers

Bhubaneswar: Following the derailment of a goods train in Odisha’s Jajpur districts, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Monday issued emergency helpline numbers.

The ECoR has confirmed the death of two persons in the crash, which took place at Korai station in Bhadrak-Kapilas Road Railway Section under Khurda Road Railway Division. Train services have been affected on this route.

The ECoR General manager with other principal heads of departments has rushed to the accident site to monitor early restoration of train services and relief works, it added.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of those killed in the accident.
