Bhubaneswar: Nine days after Jharaphula Nayak, a Plus III student of Rama Devi Women’s University, was found dead on a roadside in Jajpur district, investigators found the scooter used to carry her body at Sundarpada in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Notably, Jharaphula’s boyfriend Rakesh Nayak and his friend had allegedly carried the deceased student’s body on this scooter and dumped it on the roadside near Mulapala Chhak in Jajpur district on January 27.
According to police sources, Jharaphula had died while staying at the OYO Shiv Sai Guesthouse at Dharma Vihar in the capital city in the night on January 26.
Police later got the whereabouts of Rakesh and arrested him from Sundarpada.
