Mystery Shrouds Death Of Leopard In Odisha’s Reserve Forest

Cuttack: A leopard reportedly died after coming in contact with a live wire laid by poachers at Achalkote Reserve Forest near Tigiria in Cuttack district on Sunday.

It is being alleged that there has been an attempt by Forest Department officials to suppress the death of the animal and the carcass has been hidden in the room of the forest guard.

According to sources, people of nearby villages had spotted the big cat a few days back. Contradictory reports are also pouring in about the time of its death with some saying that the animal had died a couple of days back.

There has been no official confirmation on the death of the leopard yet.
