Mumbai: Ajaz Khan, the host of controversial show ‘House Arrest’, has been booked by Charkop Police in Mumbai for sexually assaulting an actress on the pretext of marriage and a role in his show.
Ajaz has been booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 64, 64(2)(M), 69, and 74, and an investigation is underway, police officials said.
The actress who filed a complaint against Ajaz alleged that she was offered a role in the web show hosted by him and during the production stage, the actor proposed marriage to her.
The actress further claimed that Ajaz sexually assaulted her on March 25 at his residence.
Earlier, host Ajaz, producer of ‘House Arrest’ Rajkumar Pandey and other team members were booked by Mumbai Police over obscene content in the web show.
The complaint was filed by Bajrang Dal activist Gautam Ravriya.
“Based on a complaint lodged by Gautam Ravriya, an activist of Bajrang Dal, the police registered a case against actor Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey of the ‘House Arrest’ web show and other persons from Ullu app,” an official of Amboli police station said.
