Odisha Budget Bytes: Here’s What Is New

Bhubaneswar: The Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari announced some new and green measures in the 2021-22 budget.

Here’s is what’s new:

1. Complete e-Budgeting with the presentation of Budget in NeVA (National eVidhan Application) – A green initiative
2.  A dedicated Odisha Budget Mobile App – Available in both Google Play Store and Apple App Store
3.  Strategic Budget making process adopted to improve budget credibility
4. Introduction of Fiscal Risk Statement as a comprehensive disclosure on all fiscal risks to help better management of risk exposures
5. Introduction of Fiscal Strategy Report and Status Paper on Public Debt as disclosures on State Finances
6. Introduction of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Budget document
7. Strengthening disclosure standard-Budget data is made available in excel format
