Odisha Cabinet To Discuss 20 Proposals Today As Naveen Govt Set To Complete 3 Years Of 5th Term
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet will meet around 5 pm on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after he returns from Pratistha Utsav of the newly-built main temple complex of Tara Tarini in Ganjam.
According to sources, over 20 proposals pertaining to 11 departments – Industry, Schools and Mass Education, Water Resources, Skills Development, Agriculture, Finance, Public Administration, Higher Education, Panchayati Raj, and Revenue departments – are likely to be placed before the cabinet for approval.
Tenders for about five mega drinking water projects and the land distribution for Angul Mega Aluminum Park are also likely to be approved.
The cabinet is also likely to take up a proposal for the acquisition of 871 acres from Tata Power Company for Idco’s land bank and discuss the Odisha Services Employment (Amendment) Rules, sources added.
With Naveen Patnaik completing the third year of his fifth term as CM of Odisha on May 29, it is believed that the Cabinet might take some important decisions in this meeting.
