Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s asset has gone up by only Rs 2.81 lakh over the last one year to 49.25 crore, which also includes an unpaid loan amount of Rs 15 lakh to sister Gita Mehta.
According to the latest asset declaration for 2017-18 put by him and his council of ministers before the public domain, The CM’s movable and immovable assets stood at 49,25,02,647.
The declaration include Rs 15 lakh which he had availed from sister Gita Mehta Patnaik, which is yet to be returned.
Among his council of ministers, Health Minister’s property declaration stood at Rs 5.38 crore while the asset of Forest and Environment Minister Bijoyshree Routray remained unchanged as compared to 2016-17. In all, properties of the Ministers have increased between Rs 2 to Rs 20 lakh. As per media reports, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Maheswar Mohanty’s asset declaration (including his family) stood at Rs 2.93 crore. Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda declared his and family’s asset at over Rs 5.33 crore.
The Chief Minister, in his declaration has revealed that he has a 22.7 acre farmland and a building in Tikrikhera Village in Faridabad, Haryana. The immovable asset also includes two-third share in Naveen Niwas and a 50 per cent share in a property at New Delhi’s APJ Abdul Kalam Road.
His bank deposits amount to Rs 27.38 lakh in banks in Odisha and New Delhi and jewellery worth Rs 2.21 lakh.
He also owns an Ambassador car of 1980 worth Rs 8,905.
