Odisha Forms Committee To Resolve Issues With Andhra Pradesh
Bhubaneswar: The state government on Wednesday formed a high-level committee for resolving various disputes with Andhra Pradesh, days after the meeting between chief ministers of the two states.
The committee, headed by chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, will have 8 members, according to the Revenue and Disaster Management department.
Development commissioner Pradip Kumar Jena and additional chief secretary (Home) Sanjeev Chopra are members of the committee.
It may be noted that Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik had held a meeting with his Andhra counterpart Jagan Mohan Reddy during the latter’s visit to Odisha on November 9.
The twso CMs had decided to work closely to resolve the contentious issues in the fields of water resources, boundary, energy and Left wing extremism (LWE).
