Odisha Govt Discontinues Pasting Of Posters To Identify Houses Of COVID-19 Patients
Bhubaneswar: With the number of COVID-19 positive cases declining steadily across Odisha, the state government has decided to discontinue pasting posters in front of the houses of patients who are infected by coronavirus and under home isolation.
In a directive to all Collectors, District Magistrates and Municipal Commissioners, Additional Chief Secretary to the government P.K. Mohapatra has stated: “It is now felt that identification of the houses of COVID-19 patients under Home Isolation by pasting of posters outside their houses is not a requirement anymore. You are therefore, requested to discontinue the practice of affixing of posters outside the COVID-19 positive patients under home isolation immediately.”
Odisha reported 480 new cases in last 24 hours. The state has just 5,046 active cases currently, with 3,12,734 patients having recovered so far.
