During her appearance on a podcast with Yuvaa, Mahvash opened up about her painful past and revealed that she was cheated on by her fiancé thrice, which affected her both mentally and physically.
Mahvash, who got engaged at a young age of 19, shared, “Growing up in a small town like Aligarh, we were conditioned to believe that our primary goal was to find a good husband and get married.”
“The first two times, I stayed quiet, thinking it would lead to badnami (disgrace). But how much can one tolerate?”
She talked about suffering from severe panic attacks. “Doctors would ask my parents what had happened, but I couldn’t even tell them that the person I fought to get engaged is the one hurting me.”
However, after going through this trauma, she finally decided to end her engagement of 2 years.
Mahvash and Chahal’s dating rumours started in December, after the RJ was spotted celebrating Christmas with the cricketer and her friends.
Amid reports of Chahal’s divorce from Dhanashree, the cricketer and the RJ were also spotted together at the Champions’ Trophy match in Dubai.
However, dismissing their dating rumours, Mahvash shared a long post on her Instagram handle which read as, “Some articles and speculations have been circulating around the internet. It’s literally funny to see how baseless are these rumours. If you get SEEN with an opposite gender, so you are dating that person? I am sorry what year is this? And how many people are you all dating then? I have been patient since 2-3 days now but I won’t let any PR teams drag my name into this to cover up other people’s image. Let people live in peace with their friends and family in tough times.”
