Burla: Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Odisha’s Burla has issued a notice, strictly warning students against visiting seven vulnerable points in the area.
The off-limits vulnerable points are Power Channel, Mahanadi River, Syphon Spillway, Athar Hazar Point, Right Dyke, Jhankarani Mandir, and Fishery Point. They have been asked not to visit these places “on any day at any time”.

The university has also warned the students of strict disciplinary action if found violating the order.
The notice was issued after a 19-year-old first-year civil engineering student of the institute drowned while taking a bath at Athra Hazar power channel on Thursday.
