One More Odisha District Announces Weekend Shutdown To Contain COVID-19 Spread
Rayagada: After Balangir and Kendrapada, Rayagada administration on Thursday decided to impose weekend shutdown in the district for the entire month of July.
Collector Pramod Kumar Behera said that the decision was taken to ensure strict social distancing and isolation to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The following activities will be allowed during the shutdown:
On June 30, the Odisha government had decided to continue with complete shutdown on Saturdays and Sundays during the Phase II of Unlock starting July 1 in Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Jharsuguda, which had more than 50 active COVID-19 cases.

Nabarangpur administration had decided to go ahead with weekend shut down on Wednesday.
