Ordnance Factory Board (OFB), Ministry of Defence, has released the recruitment notification for filling up 6060 posts of Trade Apprentices in Ordnance and Ordnance Equipment Factories located in different states across India.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for apprenticeship through the official website of OFB. Online application can be submitted from January 10 to February 9.
Vacancy Details
Total vacancies in Trade Apprentice is 6060 in the following states –
Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal
Age Limit
The applicants must be between 15 and 24 years as on 09.02.2020. Upper age relaxation is as per government norms. Candidates can check the detailed information available in the official notification.
Educational Qualification (As on 31.12.19)
- For Non-ITI Category – The candidate should have passed Class X or equivalent as on date of notification for applying with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and with 40% marks in Mathematics and Science each.
- For ITI Category – Should have passed relevant trade test from any institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any other authority specified through Gazette notification of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment with duration as per the Apprentice Act 1961 plus passed Class X or equivalent (Minimum 50% aggregate marks both in Matriculate / Class X and ITI).
Selection Process
Selection will be done on the basis of –
- Merit list- It will be prepared separately for Non-ITI and Ex-ITI categories.
- Standard of physical fitness
- Medical examination
Application Fee
- Application Fee is Rs.100
- No Application Fee is to be paid by SC/ST/PwD/Women/transgender candidates. Fee payment will have to be made online through payment gateway as part of online application process.
