New Delhi: Glitches in major national-level examinations sparked fresh protests erupted in the national Capital on Monday.
Raising the ongoing row over NEET-UG paper leak, CUET-UG exam delay and CBSE’s paper-checking portal coming under scrutiny, members of the All India Students Association (AISA) and Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) staged a protest outside the Ministry of Education and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Several student activists who marched to the Education Ministry were detained by Delhi Police.
“We were here protesting against the leak that has been happening… Why is the government not demanding the resignation of Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan?” one of the protestors told reporters.
The recent paper leaks have shown that the National Testing Agency (NTA) and current Education ministry are not “competent to handle the exam structure,” they said.
“We will not let this government play with our future. We are not scared of anything. The education minister will have to resign,” a protesting woman said, as per an ANI video clip.

The protest took place hours after political satirical outfit Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) announced a June 6 protest call at Jantar Mantar.
Abhijeet Dipke, founder of CJP, said on social media that he will be returning to India on June 6, and urged supporters to join him to protest and demand the resignation of Pradhan.
