Mumbai: After philanthropist, educator and author Sudha Murty, cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar attended a special screening of the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Sitaare Zameen Par.’
Aamir Khan Productions shared a video in which Sachin can be seen lauding the performances of the young actors and praising the storyline.
“From cricket fields to cinema halls, Sachin sir knows a classic when he sees one,” the production house wrote alongside the video.
Director RS Prasanna also shared the video and wrote, “The God speaks :)”
Reviewing the movie, Sachin said, “I liked the film a lot. It is such that it makes you laugh and cry along with Team Sitaare. I’ve always said sport has the power to teach us everything. It has such a good message and the power to bring everybody together. This movie is something like that. I want to give a big thumbs up to all the actors; they did such a great job. All the very best to you.”
Sitaare Zameen Par’, the spiritual sequel of the 2007 blockbuster ‘Taare Zameen Par’, features Aamir, Genelia Deshmukh, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
The film will be released in theatres June 20.
