New Delhi: Actor-turned-businessman Vivek Oberoi recently opened up about his toxic past on Dr Jai Madaan’s YouTube channel.
Asked about Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai, Vivek said, “God bless them”. On Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek expressed, “He’s a sweetheart, a really nice person.”
Vivek, who was in a relationship with Aishwarya after the latter broke up with Salman, shared that after moving on from his past relationship, he found a better purpose in life.
The actor unapologetically said that if he had not moved on from people with plastic smiles, he too would have become plastic by now.
“Perhaps I would’ve become a superficial person, living a superficial life. Perhaps I would’ve become plastic myself, among people with plastic smiles. If people troll me now, I don’t care. Because I know my purpose in life, I know what is the most important to me,” Vivek remarked.
“I’m speaking from personal experience. Sometimes, we go into abusive relationships, relationships where people are using you, people are not valuing you, not respecting you. You go into that relationship because you haven’t identified your self-worth. You think it’s right to have a fatalist attitude, thinking, ‘I don’t care, I can give my life also’. But you have to value yourself,” he added.
Vivek and Aishwarya started dating during the making of ‘Kyun!Ho Gaya Na…’
Their affair turned turbulent when the actor got involved in a fight with Aishwarya’s ex-boyfriend Salman.
Vivek married Priyanka Alva, daughter of former Karnataka minister late Jeevaraj Alva and reputed dancer Nandini, in 2010. They have a daughter and a son named Vivaan Veer and Ameya Nirvana.
