Mumbai: The first song from Yash’s much-awaited action thriller ‘Toxic’ is finally out, and it has already become the talk of social media.
While fans are loving the sizzling chemistry between Yash and Kiara Advani in ‘Tabaahi’, others are questioning whether the film has much of a storyline beyond its stylish visuals and glamorous romance.
Featuring Yash and Kiara, ‘Tabaahi’ is a romantic ballad that portrays two lovers deeply drawn to each other, willing to go to any lengths to be together.
The music video opens with Yash lifting Kiara’s character into his arms after spotting her outside a church.
It then shifts to a circus, where he sneaks backstage before her performance and the two share a kiss.
As the song progresses, the couple is seen sharing intimate moments in a car and on a beach.
The video ends with a dramatic carnival sequence, where they find themselves atop a Ferris wheel after chaos erupts around them. Yash also showcases his chiselled physique in several scenes.
The song has largely received a positive response online, with viewers praising the crackling chemistry between Yash and Kiara Advani.
“Finally, an intense romance where the intimacy has a soul and isn’t just cheap clickbait,” commented one.
Another said, “#Tabaahi from #Toxic is probably the first asset from the film that I visually found to be sexy. Its raunchy but does not border on being crass. Kiara Advani looks like a dream.”
“”There’s a thin line between looking hot and looking vulgar on screen. Thankfully, #Tabaahi stays firmly on the right side of it,” commented another.
One wrote, “Looks completely different and next level in his body language or expression compared to all his previous movies.”

However, not everyone was impressed. While many praised the song, some viewers felt it relied too heavily on intimate and sensual scenes, with a section of social media questioning whether the film offers a strong storyline beyond the romance.
One commented, “What a disaster after KGF. This is what happens when your head swells and your reek of arrogance after one blockbuster and you think you are bigger than everyone else. A movie that is unwatchable for an entire family and especially young kids has and will never do well.”
“Why everything about the film is about lovemaking and cheating so far? Where is the story?” quipped another.
Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ also features Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in key roles.
The film is slated to hit theatres on August 26.
