Berhampur: In a shocking incident, carcass of a leopard was found hanging from a tree in Kabisuryanagar area of Odisha’s Ganjam district on Tuesday.
The incident was reported from Jarada village under the jurisdiction of Kabisuryanagar police station in the district. The dead leopard hanging from the tree was first spotted by local residents who informed the authorities about the incident.
After receiving information, officials from the Kabisuryanagar police station and the Polasara Forest Division rushed to the spot and began an investigation.
The circumstances surrounding the animal’s death are yet to be ascertained. Forest department officials are trying to determine the exact cause of the leopard’s death and ascertain if there was any foul play.
