Nayagarh: Residents detained and tied up a panchayat extension officer (PEO) to a tree for allegedly distributing cash to voters in Khandapada panchayat under Ranpur block of Nayagarh on Monday night.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and took the accused officer into custody. The police have started interrogating the officer. Investigations are on.
