Aamir Khan First Celeb To Step Into Movie Theatre After Reopening

Mumbai: Cinema halls across the country have reopened post lockdown and ‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’ is the first big Bollywood film to hit the silver screens.

Even as movie buffs are hesitant to step into cinema theatres due to the ongoing pandemic, Aamir Khan has become the first celebrity to watch the movie in a theatre.

The actor took to his Twitter handle on Monday and wrote that he is on his way to a theatre to watch the film.

Here’s what Aamir tweeted:

Reacting to Aamir’s tweet, Karishma Tanna, who has performed on the item song ‘Basanti’ in the film, wrote, “Thanku Aamir sir,” and shared a folded hands emoji.

‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’ stars Diljit Dosanjh, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Manoj Bajpayee in lead roles.

Earlier, actor Diljit Dosanjh had taken to social media to thank the audience for watching his film in theatres.

“Corona Mai bhi Log aa Rahe Hain Families Ke Saath Film Dekhne Baut badi Baat Hai. Aur Dil se Shukria Hai. Mai Koi Baut Badaa Kalakaar Nahi Hu Par Fer Bhi Apna Part Nibha Raha Hu. Cinema ke Lie Hard Time Chal Raha Hai Lekin Fer bhi Kuch intellectuals Zyada Shaane Ban Rahe Hain,” tweeted Diljit.
