New Delhi: Delhi was one of the country’s top cities in terms of pollution on October 20, with its air quality index (AQI) touching 277, according to data released by the Central Pollution Control Board.

The national capital is also one of the twenty-two cities of the 226 that have witnessed their AQI levels jump over 100 points since the start of the month as air quality has worsened, according to a Moneycontrol analysis.

Delhi’s AQI worsened from 151 on October 1, while adjoining Gurugram witnessed a dip to 219 from 106 three weeks ago.
