Man Found Murdered In Bhadrak, Another Critical As Miscreants Chop Off Tongue In Ganjam
Bhadrak/Ganjam: A man was found dead with an eye gouged out and an ear chopped off in Bhadrak while some miscreants allegedly cut off the tongue of a man in Ganjam on Sunday.
In Bhadrak, a man was found lying in a pool of blood inside his house at Gochipur village in Basudevpur area on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Ganesh Satpathy. His wife and children were not home, while the incident took place. With an eye damaged and ear chopped off, police suspect it to be a case of revenge murder.
Further investigation is on.
Tension gripped Nirmaljhar Square under Khallikote police limits in Ganjam after some miscreants allegedly chopped off the tongue of a man near a market. The victim was identified as Ganesh Behera.
The miscreants fled the spot soon after committing the crime, said locals, who rescued him and got him admitted to a hospital in a critical condition.
They attributed the attack to a possible past enmity.
Meanwhile, Khallikote police have launched a manhunt to nab the attackers.
