Baripada: Ahead of the high-profile visit of the President and Prime Minister to Mayurbhanj on June 19 and 20, the administration has declared all event venues and function sites as ‘No Drone Zones’ and ‘No Flying Zones’ due to security reasons.
According to an official order issued by the Office of the Mayurbhanj Collector, security arrangements will be stringently tightened during the VVIP visit. The directive strictly prohibits media personnel, event management teams, and any other individuals from using drone cameras during this period. It has been mandated that appropriate displays and signboards must be clearly put up at all event locations to prominently mark them as ‘No Drone Zones’.
The administration has warned of strict action against anyone violating these orders.
The itinerary of the two leaders would include various locations in the district, including Rairangpur, the local airstrip, Pahadpur, and Badampahar.
The Probable Itinerary
President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a two-day visit to her hometown of Rairangpur starting June 19, where she will be joined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 20. This marks the first time the two leaders will share a stage to commemorate the second anniversary of the BJP government under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the state. Together, they will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several key development initiatives, followed by a joint address to the public.
According to sources, the high-profile itinerary includes the inauguration of a stadium in Rairangpur and developmental projects in Pahadpur, the village of the President’s in-laws, alongside statewide infrastructure upgrades. Additionally, the dignitaries will flag off a new Puri-Koraput train via Sambalpur and unveil several railway stations upgraded under the Amrit Bharat scheme.
