Bhubaneswar: Students in many parts of Odisha were reportedly unable to access the results of Plus-II Science and Commerce examinations declared Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Wednesday due to the technical glitches on the result publishing platforms.
The results were announced by School & Mass Education Minister Sudam Marndi at 11 am.
Students in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Malkangiri, Sambalpur and Balasore complained that the official website — chseodisha.nic.in and orissaresults.nic.in. — did not open for over one and a half hours.
According to data shared by CHSE, girls have outperformed boys in both the streams.
In science, the pass percentage was 84.93 per cent, a drop of 9.19 percentage points from 94.12 last year, as 78,938 (42121 boys and 36,817 girls) of 92,950 students cleared the exam. 39,573 students secured first division, 24,257 second division and 14,852 got third division. While 358 students secured more than 90 per cent marks, 291 schools have scored 100 per cent results and two schools have zero results.
In commerce, only 81.12 per cent of 24,082 students passed the examination, down from 89.2 last year. While 12,121 boys and 7,415 girls cleared the exam, 7410 secured first division, 4543 got second division and 7492 got third division.
The students can get their marksheets in Digilocker from June 10 onwards.
The result of Plus-II arts and vocation courses is likely to be declared on June 8, according to reports.
This year, around 3.5 lakh students appeared in the Plus II examinations. The CHSE had started the evaluation of the answer sheets on April 10.
