Puri: The report on the much-talked-about Brahma Parivartan fiasco in Jagannath Temple here that took place during Nabakalebara cannot be made public, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) said on Thursday.
Briefing mediapersons after the meeting of the Jagannath Temple Managing Committee presided over by the Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingh Deb, chief administrator of SJTA Pradipta Mohapatra said that the report of the Brahma Parivartan fiasco cannot be made public as it is a sensitive issue. Even the report will not be given to anyone under the Right to Information Act, he maintained.
Mohapatra, however, made it clear that there was gross irregularity during the Brahma Parivartan.
“About 10-15 servitors are found guilty in the Brahma Parivartan of the Lords. They might be either the Daitapati or the Maharana servitors against whom exemplary action would be taken under Section 21 (b) of the Temple Administration Act,” he added.
Mohapatra further said that the erring servitors would be served show-cause notice and appropriate action would be taken against them within three months.
