Visually-Impaired Teachers In Odisha To Take Online Classes Of UG & PG Students From Home

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday asked all degree colleges under the Higher Education Department to allow visually-impaired teachers to take online classes from their residence in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The letter issued by Commissioner-cum-Secretary Saswat Mishra to principals of all degree college said, “Government has been pleased to allow the visually impaired teachers to take online classes from their residence till resumption of normalcy in Covid-19 pandemic.”

These teachers are not required to visit the college premises to take online classes every day, the notification read further.

Notably, online classes of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students in all colleges and universities began from July 13.
