Cuttack: Fortis Healthcare has marked its entry into Odisha by signing an operations and management (O&M) agreement with the Bhubaneswar-based Dion Group to run a 300-bed greenfield multi-specialty hospital.
The facility will be developed at Dion Riverside Township in Trishulia, along the bustling Kataka-Bhubaneswar corridor, and is positioned to become a key tertiary care hub serving patients across Odisha and neighbouring regions.
The project aligns with Fortis’ asset-light expansion strategy, which includes brownfield opportunities, O&M agreements, and other models to broaden access to quality healthcare without heavy capital commitment. Once operational, the hospital will function as a Centre of Excellence, delivering advanced tertiary and quaternary care services. It will feature state-of-the-art diagnostics, robust critical care infrastructure, and specialized clinical programs across multiple specialties.

This development follows investments by other major chains like Manipal and Max in the region, underscoring growing interest in Odisha’s healthcare sector amid rising demand for quality medical facilities. Fortis shares closed marginally lower at ₹974.60 on the announcement day.
