Mumbai: An old clip of Parineeti Chopra from ‘Koffee With Karan’ has resurfaced online, where the actor made a candid confession about being intimidated by Katrina Kaif.
Appearing on the chat show alongside Aditya Roy Kapur, Parineeti admitted she gets extremely nervous around Katrina, whom she described as her idol, while praising the actor’s calm and composed personality.
Recalling one particular incident, Parineeti shared, “That day, she (Katrina) came to the gym, and I quickly increased the speed of my treadmill.”
Then Katrina walked up to her and asked, “What are you doing? How many minutes have you done?”
Parineeti replied, “20 minutes”, following which Katrina said, “5 more minutes”.
Parineeti: “Okay, okay, whatever you say.”
“She is like my idol,” Parineeti admitted.
When host Karan Johar asked Aditya if he too was scared of Katrina, the actor said, “Yes, from time to time”.
“But why? She is lovely”, Karan asked.
Responding to the remark, both Parineeti and Aditya agreed that Katrina’s composed, poker-faced expression can be intimidating and is enough to make anyone around her feel nervous.
On the work front, while Aditya was seen romancing Katrina in the 2016 film, ‘Fitoor’, Parineeti is yet to share screen space with the actress.
Parineeti’s recent outing was a devotional track, ‘Namami Shamisham’, which she sang when she was pregnant with her son Neer.
Sharing what inspired her to record ‘Namami Shamisham’, Parineeti wrote on Instagram, “There are some prayers that become memories forever, and Namami Shamisham is one of them. I recorded this during my pregnancy, a phase that brought me closer to faith, reflection and gratitude. Every time I listen to it, I’m reminded of that beautiful chapter of my life”.
“I’m so happy to finally share it with all of you. OUT NOW on YouTube and all music platforms. Har Har Mahadev…Love, Parineeti Chopra”, she added.
