Bhubaneswar: Sushanta Kumar Mishra, Executive-In-charge, Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division (FAMD) of Tata Steel, has taken charge as Chairman of Mining Engineers’ Association of India (MEAI), Bhubaneswar-Sukinda Chapter.
Outgoing Chairman Pankaj Satija handed over charge to Mishra during the Chapter’s annual general meeting (AGM) at a hotel in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event, former Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner of Indian government Dr TK Panda deliberated on various aspects of the recently-introduced labour reforms and their implications for the mining and industrial sectors.
The session, moderated by MEAI Bhubaneswar-Sukinda Chapter secretary Shambhu Nath Jha, provided a platform for industry professionals to exchange perspectives on regulatory changes and workforce management.
New office-bearers of the Chapter were announced at the AGM — Shambhu Nath Jha (Tata Steel) Vice-Chairman; RS Raghuwanshi (Jindal Steel) Secretary; Devraj Tiwari (Ferro Alloys Corporation Limited) Joint Secretary-cum-Treasurer.
