Washington: The United States became the first country to record more than 2,000 coronavirus deaths in one day.
There were a total of 2,108 COVID-19 fatalities in the past 24 hours, Johns Hopkins University said on Friday.
With this, the death toll in the US has gone up to 18,586, behind the death toll in Italy (18,849).
