CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke To Return On June 6, Plans Peaceful Protest Demanding Education Minister’s Resignation

New Delhi: Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the satirical Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), said he will return to India on June 6 to lead a peaceful protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Dipke shared the announcement in a video on X, a message that has already drawn attention from students, young voters and supporters concerned over the NEET-UG 2026 controversy, as reported by The Sunday Guardian.

Calls For Constitutional Protest In Delhi

In the video, Dipke urged citizens, particularly the youth, to exercise their democratic rights through lawful, non-violent action. “The time has come for all of us to come together, following the path of the Constitution of India, and peacefully raise our voices to demand Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. If we raise our voices together, they will definitely have to listen to us,” he said.

Dipke outlined a plan to assemble supporters at the airport on his arrival and then approach authorities to seek permission for a demonstration at Jantar Mantar, the capital’s long-standing venue for public protests. “I have decided that I will arrive in Delhi on Saturday morning, June 6. Please join me at the airport, and together we will go to the Parliament Street police station to ask for permission to hold a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar,” he added.

NEET-UG Fallout Stokes Student Anger

The announcement comes against the backdrop of the NEET-UG 2026 fallout. The national medical entrance exam was cancelled after allegations of a paper leak surfaced, prompting widespread outrage among students and parents. Authorities have set a re-examination date of June 21, 2026. The controversy has magnified concerns about the integrity and transparency of competitive exams, making the planned protest a focal point for those demanding accountability.

Civic Appeal Grounded In Constitution

Although the Cockroach Janta Party began as a satirical platform, Dipke’s rhetoric has shifted toward civic mobilisation and constitutional principles. He invoked national icons to frame his activism as rooted in India’s democratic heritage. “I am a big admirer of Gandhi, Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh, Bhagat Singh and Nehru, and I believe in the constitution of India more than anything else, which gives us the right to raise our voice in democracy,” he said.

Turned Down US Jobs, Chooses India

Dipke also said he has declined multiple job offers from the United States to return and work in India. He pointed out that he had received a number of job offers in the USA, which he did not accept, as he is keen to return to India to do something for the country. “Whatever we are today is because of this country, and now it’s our turn to do something for our country,” he said.
