IMD Issues Yellow Warning For Dense Fog In Several Districts Of Odisha For 2 Days

Bhubaneswar: Even as temperature dropped below 10 degree Celsius in 10 places of Odisha, the IMD has forecast dense fog in several districts in next two days.

In its evening release on Thursday, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar issued a yellow warning for dense fog in the districts on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Koraput are likely to experience dense fog.

Similarly, dense fog is very likely at one or two places in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal and Kalahandi on Saturday.

Due to the dense fog, the visibility may drop below 200 metre at one or two places in the morning, the IMD said and issued a yellow warning.

The night temperature plummeted to season’s lowest of 4 degree Celsius at G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district in the last 24 hours, the IMD said earlier.
