New Delhi: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) on Thursday released the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the reopening of sporting activities in the country.
In a positive sign for sports infrastructure, the Home Ministry had permitted sports complexes and stadia to reopen in lockdown 4.0. But it barred them from holding any event and spectators from entering these premises.
The SOPs have been issued to ensure a safe environment for the training of athletes in sports centres and grounds.

- Education and sensitization of athletes and staff
- Continuous monitoring and management of protocols
- Categorization of sports and precaution for each category
It is mandatory for all sporting centres to stock sanitizers and promote handwashing.
A COVID-19 task force will monitor and give assistance to all trainees and athletes at SAI venue.
