[Watch] 14-Day Quarantine Mandatory For Odisha Natives Returning From Bengal, Clarifies SRC

Bhubaneswar: A day after Odisha made 14-day quarantine mandatory for those coming to the state from West Bengal, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena on Friday said the travellers have to produce RT-PCR negative report of test conducted within 48 hours or two-dose vaccination certificate.

“The people coming from West Bengal without these documents will be sent to institutional quarantine/paid quarantine centres, while others will be allowed home isolation for the same period,” he said.

Jena clarified that the 14-day quarantine is mandatory for all irrespective of the RT-PCR negative report and vaccination certificate. “People, found violating the guidelines during home isolation, will be sent to institutional quarantine/paid quarantine centres for 14 days,” he said.

This is also applicable for Odisha natives returning to the state from West Bengal, he added.
