Bhubaneswar: Faculty members of KIIT Deemed to be University have been inducted into the prestigious Global Scientist Index 2025 published by SciRank Global, placing them among the world’s top 5 per cent scientists.
The SciRank Global Registry, regarded as an independent and transparent global benchmarking platform, evaluates researchers on merit through rigorous bibliometric analysis.
The 2025 index assessed over 10 million active researcher profiles and nearly 50 million scholarly works worldwide. Scientists included in the top 5 per cent category are considered to be more productive and impactful than the remaining 95 per cent of their peers globally.
According to the methodology adopted by SciRank Global, researchers are selected on the basis of a rigorous Normalized Composite Score (NCS), which evaluates scientific impact through publications, citations and other bibliometric indicators. The index also ensures transparency and inclusivity by covering all major academic disciplines and using data sourced from OpenAlex, one of the world’s largest open-source scholarly databases.
The global recognition underlines the university’s emphasis — — under the leadership of KIIT and KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta — on building a research-driven ecosystem that encourages quality publications, innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
