New Delhi: The Union government will hold a national-level online exam on ‘gau vigyan’ (cow science) on February 25.
The purpose of this voluntary exam is to get students and general public in India interested in learning about indigenous cow and its qualities, reported PTI.
The exam will be conducted every year by Rashtriya Kamdhenu Ayog (RKA), which comes under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
“For raising mass awareness about the indigenous cows among young students and every other citizens, the RKA decided to conduct a national exam on cow science,” RKA chairman Vallabhbhai Kathiria was quoted as saying.
Candidates won’t be charged any fee for the online test.
The syllabus for the exam will be available on the RKA website, with questions being of objective-type.
The RKA has compiled study material on cow science, which will soon be made available for the public.
The results will be declared immediately and “meritorious candidates” will be given prizes and certificates.
